ACCOUNTS DUTIES
 
 
 
1. Handle all payment transactions related to capital and recurring expenses.
2. Maintain vote ledgers.
3. Submit monthly account summaries of the Central Government and Western Province on or before the due date through the CIGAS(Computerized 
Integrated Government Accountancy System) computer program to the District Secretary and Chief Secretary.
4. Request impresses and makes payments on time through ITMIS.(Integrated Treasury Management System) 
5. Maintain records of government income and expenditure.
6. Maintain public deposit accounts and prepare general deposit time analysis reports.
7. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports and monthly account reconciliation reports.
8. Submit financial statements of the Central Government and Western Province to the District Secretary and Chief Secretary on or before the due date.
9. Preparation and keeping records of all staff salaries.
10. Maintain the Advance B account of public officers within the range and submit monthly comparison reports.
11. Prepare procurement plans and carry out procurement activities according to procurement guidance and manual of the Central Government and Western Province.
12. Prepare salary statements for all staff and maintain proper records.
13. Collecting central government and western province Revenue and making payment to community..
14. Purchase, maintain, and safeguard government assets.
15. Store management and keep the recordings and issuing of consumables and stationery.
16. Submit debit and credit reports to the Provincial Council on time.
17. Send remittances to the Chief Secretary on time.
18. Maintain the stock of vehicle licenses received from the Department of Motor Traffic, issue licenses, and submit accounts of vehicle revenue.
19. Conduct audit and management committee meetings quarterly and submit reports.
20. Support audits conducted by the Central Government and Western Province and respond to audit queries.
